We are thrilled that over the last 12 months we have supported the anti-poaching work of the Community Scouts in Mnkhanya Community Resources Board in Zambia’s Luangwa Valley, along with uplifting their familes with emergency food supplies during the ‘hunger months’. Thanks to our long-term supporters at the Olsen Animal Trust for a grant to achieve this.

Access to small business start-up loans and training are extremely hard to come by, if not impossible, in rural areas of Africa. This means that pro-active, entrepreneurial members of local communities never get to realise their dream of running a small enterprise to lift their families out of poverty. They are trapped by a lack of opportunity to develop themselves.
In Uganda, we have partnered with Busoga Volunteers for Community Development to rollout a Revolving Loan Scheme for women widowed by HIV/AIDS, the majority with children to support, to help these women to set up self-help income generating enterprises so as to liberate them from economic bondage / dependency and poverty. We have together provided safe clean water for 2,000 villagers in Makutu sub-County by worked with Busoga Volunteers for Community Development to protect 4 natural springs and pipe the water into villages. For more info click here.
